Health Information Privacy and Security Group

 

 

HISA's Health Information Privacy and Security group (HIPS) looks at the issues of privacy and security in the area of health information.  It holds seminars, conducts surveys and develops position papers for government consideration.  

Past activities have focussed on HISA submissions to the Australian Law Reform Commission relating to the commissions review of the Australian Privacy Laws 1988 (Cth).

The Survey on the Government’s proposals for National Health Identifiers and Privacy has ben completed and the joint HISA/AHHA report is now available in the HIPS library.
